Most electric vehicles use regenerative braking through the drive wheels. If the drive wheels rotate while the motor is passive — as in a wheel-lift tow — the motor can act as a generator, potentially causing overcharge conditions in the battery management system and motor damage. Most EV manufacturers explicitly state in their handbooks that flat-towing with wheels on the ground is prohibited. We use flatbed transport for all EVs, no exceptions.
Yes. Our flatbed operators are experienced in handling concours-condition, recently restored, and high-value classic cars. We use aluminium loading ramps, non-scratch deck mats, and soft-tie systems that secure the vehicle by the chassis rather than across paint or bodywork.
